Man Utd emerging as ‘strong option’ for Guardiola
Guardiola has not agreed to replace Pellegrini at Man City….yet
Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has not yet agreed to become the next Manchester City manager and he is intrigued by the prospect of managing their neighbours Manchester United.
A report on Independent.ie on Monday suggested Guardiola has been contacted by three Premier League clubs in recent weeks, with suggestions in Spain last week that he has already signed a deal to become Manchester City boss wide of the mark.
While the identity of the three clubs that have been in contact with Guardiola's advisers has not been confirmed, it seems clear that the wheels are in motion for the Spaniard to make a move to the Premier League.
Suggestions in the Sunday newspapers that Guardiola favoured a move to Manchester United and not their local rivals City appeared to confirm that he is prepared to wait for his next move as he looks to bring down the curtain on his time with Bayern Munich.
If Guardiola opts to delay his move to England until the summer of 2017, he could have the option of taking over at Manchester United and Arsenal, with the incumbent managers Louis van Gaal and Arsene Wenger tipped to retire that summer.
Chelsea is another option for Guardiola, who is believed to be interested by the prospect of living in London and he would doubtless relish the chance to replace his old foe Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
Amid all the speculation, one fact appears to be emerging – Pep Guardiola is on his way to the Premier League very soon.
